Another beautiful quote from Mother Angelicas’ biography by R. Arroyo:

“God was very fussy about the Temple in Jerusalem.  I’m not sure God wants these pre-fab things we just clunk together. I don’t think it’s austere.  I think it’s stupid….  If you worship in a church made like a garage, you come out feeling like you’ve been in a garage.  We need to see beauty or we don’t know whatbeauty is.  Did you ever get inspired by a warehouse?” p.257

Reading up on Mother Angelica’s biography, i found her answer to Bishop Boland quite interesting:
“…she told the bishop she didn’t appreciate inclusive language and asked a rhetorical question: “Was Jesus… conceived of the Holy Spirit and born a human or an individual?  You don’t ask a mother if the baby is a human, you ask if it’s a boy or a girl!”
